BIRCHBOX VS MYGLAM????

I am sure all of us by now are familiar with Birchbox (all of us that are you tube addicted and love make-up that is :)) but I am even more certain that many of us are well aware of the launch to the MyGlam sample bag by the most viewed gurus here on your tube that many of us watch and if you haven’t heard of it yet it’s a company founded by Michelle Phan one of the most viewed beauty gurus on you tube that started her beauty videos way in 2007 when there was virtually not many doing the same as opposed to today’s hundreds of gurus that form quite a beauty community on you tube. She partnered up with additional 4 makeup gurus that are very popular as well (Jessica Harlow, Promise Phan, Andreas Choice, and macbarbie07   AKA Bethany) and created a makeup bag consisting of 4-5 deluxe or full size products of make-up. December box was a hit!!!! It consisted of a Urban Decay full size eye shadow, Urban Decay Primer Potion in travel size, NYX lip-gloss full size, 100 pack bleating paper sheet from Mai Couture and  a travel size Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara plus a coupon for $15 off a palette from Urban Decay I thought this was lovely …………..so did everyone else apparently. The MyGlam was sold out for both December and January in matter of days  and I was left sulking here because I found out how good it was too late so now I am stuck waiting until they accept orders again hoping it will be very soon. I am still receiving my December Birchbox and I already seen what was in it and am not really excited about it at all. Most people that have received it got a mini gloss, another mini perfume tester from Harvey Prince, Benefit  POREfessional primer in a travel size, another beauty oil tiny size, 2 strips of tape for clothes to keep in place and an energy drink one sashay. I was pretty much only looking  forward to Benefit primer out of this whole box. The lip gloss was so incredibly tiny like always I am really getting tired of oils and primers and I already have 3 primers I haven’t even used and few oils as well and perfume tester is really something we all complained about so many times. I already have a whole bag of perfume testers I get for free that I never used …….I love perfume I just don’t agree in counting this as an item really. Many have complained about Birchbox so many times and said they where extremely disappointed in how it went downward after a few months of great products including an occasional full size makeup product and many have been unsubscribing the service……………do you think Birchbox stands a chance against MyGlam??? Of  course if MyGlam continues doing what it is currently doing? And Birchbox doesn’t improve. If you are currently with Birchbox are you planning to switch to MyGlam? If you are subscribed with neither which one do you prefer? I wonder if many of the Birchbox subscribers will end up switching to MyGalm .......because that is what I am thinking of doing ......Birchbox really needs to step it up because a lot of people are getting really disappointed lately……What is your take on the this? Would love to know :))))

Where have I been lately???

Good question :) If you where wondering where have I been for almost 3 weeks now the answer is really very simple ...........or maybe not so simple. There has been a lot going in my life that kept me away from making you tube videos. First of all my Birchbox was totally late this month, I am not sure what exactly happened there but it looked like they had some kind f a mix up and shipped me a box that never arrived ............so I couldn't film my Birchbox video for this month of course because my Birchbox did not get here yet. Also I was planning to take some time off 3 weeks ago from my classes I have been working and studying and juggling a lot and I mean a lot of things during this whole year literally without a break  ...........but that did not happened either since my school counselor said I couldn't take a break until my next class  is over which she sad  happily was psychology ..............hhhmmmmm somehow I knew I was going to end up turning into a physico  by the end of this month one way or the other :))))). I was ending up being so tired from all the studying, work and a lot of family things that where going on for few weeks now that when I had a few seconds in a day I would just crash on a bed for a power nap or simply end up being too tired without inspiration or energy for a decent tutorial ..............so there you have it :) I have not eloped with a secret lover and moved away where there is no internet and I am certainly not dead yet .........even though sometimes I have my doubts about that LOL Its just been few crazy weeks in my life .........something I am sure all of us have sometimes. But don't worry I am getting back into making videos, I am working on a few right now and will be posting them really soon :) Take Care all and see you on You Tube as always :)

Birchbox September 2011- Another Disappointing Month

People really did not like me when I posted my September Birchbox video, reason being is the fact that I did not like at all what they have sent me and simply lately I have really been feeling like these items they sent us subscribers are not worth the $10 we pay for them ..........some  said I was to whiny while others said I am cheap or broke ..................The truth is I will pay a lot of money for makeup and am sure I spend more than an average gal on makeup items regularly everyone can see that in my haul videos on my channel but when something is not worth the money I will say so whether I am liked or disliked for it .............I do not believe in pretending that I am head over heals in love with something I truly dislike ......and I certainly will not lie and convince my subscribers of something that is not true just because some cannot handle an honest opinion. UNBOXING MY HUBBY'S GIFT Katy Perry's Purr (Review & First Impressions)

This was a gift from my hubby which I ended up loving more than I thought....................initially I was planning on getting just the bottle for a review however my hubby found out about this on my Facebook page while I was discussing the scent with two of my subscribers and got me secretly the next day a whole set without me even testing the scent to begin with .................however I ended up loving the scent it is sweet and floral very feminine and warm  ............if you love that type of scents or generally love a good perfume check out my video on it :)

MAC Iridescent Loose Powder (Review & Swatches)

I love love these things they are so pretty on your face and in the package I discovered them a while ago and I went and bought the bronze one and than since I loved it so much I ended up buying the second one too. I mix them sometimes in my foundation to give my face a beautiful glow or just apply them to my highlighting face areas either way they are amazing

LORAC Little Black Palette (Review & Swatches)

I really gather quite a collection of different makeup in the last few months but palette just took me by surprise....its very beautiful very pigmented rich and has a shimmery metallic it does come with a wonderful primer that works very good and its also very affordable in price. If you are anything like me and love bronze, gold, champagne and chocolate colors that are rich and metallic you will love this palette quite a bit ..........keep in mind eve though it is neutral  its nothing like Urban Decay Naked palette so I you do have that one like I do this would still be a great addition to your makeup collection :) This palette has been available for a while but for some reason or the other I did not bother with it until one day I swatched it and fell in love :)
